Michelle Star, CYT, IYT received her teacher training and certification from Kripalu Yoga and Health Center in the Berkshires of Massachusetts in 1995. In 1997, she returned to Kripalu to obtain training and certification as an Integrative Yoga Therapist and studied Yoga for special needs children in Evanston, Illinois in 2005. Her long partnership with Yoga has given her a vast well of experience in utilizing Yoga as a therapeutic tool for special needs children as well as for the healthy child. She has taught at the collegiate and national levels and presented the Yoga Therapy classes in connection with a study entitled, “The Impact of Yoga on a Chronic Pain Population” conducted at The Cleveland Clinic in 2000. She has travelled in Ohio, Michigan, Indiana and Pennsylvania giving Yoga and Reiki continuing education seminars for physical and occupational therapists to integrate Yoga techniques into their workplace and personal lives. She has educated individuals and groups of all ages in Ohio and surrounding states to achieve relaxation, balance, stress management, weight loss, and enhanced concentration and creativity since 1985. The year 2007 marks 37 years of Yoga for Michelle.
