This interactive movie course is in movie format. This fantastic course is excellent for occupational and physical therapists, COTA’s and PTA’s. This course is geared toward the intermediate learning level. Students should review anatomical terms and pathophysiology relating to course topics before viewing this course. Learn about the surgical and therapeutic modalities involved in evaluation and treatment of of the following: Soft tissue pathologies, UE nerve compressions, CRPS/RSD and tendon injuries. Learn tips tricks, and techniques you can use immediately in your clinical practice. Instructional Methods include PowerPoint presentation, video, lecture, and demonstration. Note: This course provides conceptual preparation to seek additional training, and does not provide you a mentored hands-on skills session. Please seek additional experience, with a mentor, to perform hands-on skills. Upon Successful completion of the examination (75%) your certificate will be sent via email.
Objectives:
Become familiar with differential diagnosis for UE nerve compressions
Be introduced to surgical and conservative management techniques for treating CRPS/RSD, tendon injuries, soft tissue and nerve compressions in the UE
Review tips, tricks, and techniques to help you evaluate and treat your patients
Review products available on the market to treat various pathologies
Be introduced to the newly approved FDA laser therapy to treat CTS and inflammatory conditions
Outline:
Learn loads of treatment techniques for UE nerve compressions including: (Carpal Tunnel, Pronator Syndrome, AIN, Guyons Canal, Cubital Tunnel, Wartenburgs and PIN sydrome)
Conservative treatment; surgical intervention and therapy post-op are all reviewed
Learn flexor tendon injury information including surgical techniques, video demonstration of surgery and therapy, and therapy intervention.
Learn about extensor tendon injuries, surgical techniques and therapy intervention and view therapeutic videos
Learn about Complex Regional Pain Syndrome/RSD, conservative and surgical options, and therapy intervention (video of treating patients)
Learn about soft tissue pathologies of the UE including: (Tennis Elbow, Medial Epicondylitis, Trigger Finger, DeQuervains, Intersection Syndrome, Radial Tunnel, differential diagnosis)
Conservative treatment, surgical intervention and therapy are all reviewed

courses to study from as well as Rehab of the Hand
(Yellow) read cover to cover and the recent
Hand Journals.

| I thought this was a very good program and was pleased to see that it covered a vast array of topics. The only suggestion that would have helped me is to have more of a delineation between the different approaches/theories. It was somewhat difficult to follow at times. Overall, I would definitely tell others about it! |
