Description:
This interactive course is in movie format. This is a great introductory course for PT’s, PTA’s, OT’s and OT’s to learn infant massage. This course provides an overview of how to perform infant massage as a relaxation technique. The video provides step by step direction on how to perform infant massage. It also provides tips and trips on massage techniques for irritability, colic and more. Note: This course provides conceptual preparation to seek additional training, and does not provide you a mentored hands-on skills session. Please seek additional experience, with a mentor, to perform hands-on skills. Upon Successful completion of the examination (75%) your certificate will be sent via email.
Objectives:
The student will be introduced to the strokes to apply when performing infant massage
The student will become familiar with relaxation techniques to help the infant relax
The student will review the benefits of infant massage programs
The student will be able to list basic reflexology techniques
The student will be exposed to a routine to help with the colicky baby
The student will view up close instructions for each individual stroke for infant massage.
