Description:
This interactive course is in movie format. This is a basic course to teach the clinician how use table top clinic activities they have or might want for their clinic. The course discusses a wide variety of tabletop activities that are helpful in treating hand patients. We discuss how to manage intrinsic tightness, decreased ROM, strength and functional use. Also reviewed are some scar management techniques and how to perform them on patients. You will see the activity itself being performed rather than a photograph of an exercise. This is great opportunity to learn how to use all the “toys” you have in your clinic that just sit or to use the “toys” in ways you might not have thought of in the past. Clinical treatment pearls and red flags are mentioned. Note: This course provides conceptual preparation to seek additional training, and does not provide you a mentored hands-on skills session. Please seek additional experience, with a mentor, to perform hands-on skills. Instructional methods include: lecture and hands on demonstration. Upon Successful completion of the examination (75%) your certificate will be sent via email.
