We are Susie Curtis, MA, LCMHC and Kristen Goodrich, OTR/L, independent practice owners and founders of Ready, Set, Treat!, LLC. Susie specializes in treating mental health disorders in children and women, specifically mood disorders, trauma, and maternal mental health. Kristen treats young children and addresses classic OT needs such as fine, gross, and visual motor skills, but also specializes in behavioral concerns and self-regulation. We are business partners and colleagues, but most importantly we are friends. We have almost 30 years of combined clinical experience, nearly half of which has been spent running our solo practices. As our practices grew, we learned the ropes of private practice and helped numerous clinicians start up their own solo practices, while simultaneously cherry-picking some to join us in our rental space. We blinked and suddenly there were 7 independent practitioners in our clinic sharing costs, collaborating, and cross-referring. In addition to our specialties, we now have a pediatric physical therapist (PT), pediatric speech and language pathologist (SLP), a psychiatric nurse practitioner (NP), a pediatric social worker (LICSW), and a registered dietitian (RD). We strongly believe in bringing small business back to healthcare, and have made deep connections within our community as a result.
