Objective

  • Review complications of distal radius fractures
  • Introduction to various scaphoid classification system
  • List other carpal fractures and implications of fracture management
  • Review thumb fractures and complications
  • Discuss VISI, DISI, greater arc, lesser arc, CID, CIND, lunate and perilunate injuries
  • Review SNAC and SLAC wrist and treatment interventions
  • A variety of unusual clinical cases are introduced and treatment is reviewed
  • Become familiar with osteonecrosis of wrist carpal bones
  • Review wrist ganglions along with treatment intervention
